Poultry record book: daily log for each flock, coop or tractor
One record per flock or unit, a one-minute daily entry, and monthly and yearly summaries worked out for you.
Each flock or production unit — a coop, chicken tractor, brooder, pen or pasture shelter — has its own record: species, breed, batch, purpose, housing, location, responsible person, feed, water, bedding, outdoor rotation, predator protection and (optionally) an ammonia meter and limit. Edit it from Flocks.
The daily entry
- Tap Record → Flock Daily Log and pick the flock (or open the flock and tap Daily log).
- Fill in what you did: feed and water added, water changed, bedding added or fully changed, outdoor hours, and deaths or culls.
- Layers and breeders show eggs collected and rejected; meat birds and replacement stock show a sample weight instead.
- Conditions are all OK unless you tap one — then say what's wrong and what you did about it.
- Tap Save log.
Eggs and mortality from the daily log become your normal egg-collection and mortality records, so egg inventory and bird counts update. If you correct a log later, those records are corrected too, and the change is kept in the audit history.
Feed lots
The feed lot you used last is pre-selected. The summary lists every lot used with its organic status and dates, so feed can be traced back to the purchase and its tag or receipt.
Birds in and out, health, cleaning
- Record → Birds In / Out for hatches, purchases, transfers, sales and processing (with source or destination, age, breed and batch).
- Record → Treatment for health: birds affected, product, amount and route, start and stop dates, withdrawal or restrictions, outcome and vet.
- Record → Coop Cleaning & Repairs for cleaning, bedding, disinfection, repairs and equipment checks, with a next-due date.
Monthly and yearly summaries
On the flock's page, pick a month or a year to see birds at the start and end, feed used, eggs, ammonia average and high, bedding and water service, weights, birds processed or sold, mortality, treatments, repairs and days without outdoor access — all calculated from the records. Download it as CSV or a PDF record book, and mark it reviewed.
