Local trade, better for the land

Community feed

Posts and photos from farms you follow, topics you care about and farms near you. Newest first — no algorithm, no ads.

Ask the community

Ask a question, get answers from people who farm like you, and mark the one that helped most.

Map search

See farms and listings within 5–300 miles. Filter by category, organic status and distance.

Wanted posts

Post what you need (an organic sow, 50 bales of 2nd-cut, pasture to lease) and let nearby farms reach out.

Local group chats

Join your area's group, or one around a shared interest: grazing, beekeeping, market gardens, organic, homesteading. Or message a farm directly.

Record-backed listings

Link an animal or flock to its ProvenFarm records, and show certificates. “Verified” only appears after we check them.

Saved-search alerts

Get notified when a matching listing appears near you (Core and above).

Privacy first

Locations are rounded to about half a mile. You choose whether your farm appears at all.

Why local matters

Fewer food miles

Hay, feed and animals bought down the road don't cross the country first.

Keep organic chains intact

Find certified organic and transitional stock and feed nearby, with the paperwork to prove it.

Regional genetics

Share heritage breeds, locally adapted seed and breeding stock with neighbors.

Stronger rural economies

Money spent with neighboring farms stays in your community.

Community guidelines

  • Be a good neighbor. Every farm is welcome, whatever its size or practices. No harassment, insults or hate.
  • Be honest. Describe animals, feed and products accurately, including organic status, health and paperwork.
  • Keep it farming. No spam, unrelated ads or scams. Trade in the open and follow your state's rules for moving and selling animals.
  • Share what you know, carefully. Say what worked on your farm. Advice isn't a vet's or an agronomist's diagnosis — when an animal is really sick, suggest a vet.
  • Respect privacy. Don't share other people's addresses, phone numbers or photos without permission.

You can block any farm and report any post, comment, listing or message. Something reported by three different farms is hidden until a ProvenFarm moderator reviews it. Moderators can remove posts or suspend a farm's community access. The farm is always told why, and can appeal from Community → Moderation.

Run the farm. We'll organize the proof.
