Import records from a spreadsheet
Bring in animals, flocks, fields, products, feed, treatments, harvests or expenses from Excel or Google Sheets.
Already keep records in a spreadsheet? Don't retype them.
- In your spreadsheet, save or download the sheet as CSV (Excel: File → Save As → CSV; Google Sheets: File → Download → CSV).
- In ProvenFarm, go to Settings → Data → Import a spreadsheet and pick what you're importing.
- Choose the file. ProvenFarm matches your column names — check the matches and fix any that are wrong.
- Look over the preview. Rows with problems are listed with the reason and skipped.
- Press Import.
ProvenFarm understands everyday wording: "cow" means cattle, "steer" means castrated male, and dates like 3/14/26 work. Download a template if you're starting from scratch.
Import animals and flocks before their treatments, so treatments can be matched by tag or flock name.
