The community feed: post, ask, follow
Share what's happening on your farm, ask questions and follow farms near you. Newest first — no algorithm, no ads.
Open Community Feed. Set up your community profile first (your farm's name and general area; your address is never shown).
- Post: write what's happening and add up to 4 photos. Pick a topic (poultry, grazing, beekeeping, homesteading…). Ideas from your records — eggs this week, a harvest, your stand being open — are one tap away, and nothing is shared unless you post it.
- Ask a question: farmers answer, and you mark the most helpful answer so the next person finds it.
- Like, comment, and Follow farms. Follow topics in the side panel.
- Tabs: For you (farms and topics you follow, plus farms within about 100 miles), Following, Nearby and Questions. Always newest first.
- Tap a farm's name to see its page: bio, practices, followers, its posts and a link to its farmstand.
- Alerts: tap the bell on a farm's page (or next to it under Farms you follow) to get an alert when it posts — at most one a day per farm. They arrive in the app and by phone, email or text as you chose in Settings → Notifications.
- Share from your records: tap Share on a flock, harvest, product or maple record and the composer opens filled in (with the product's photo). The composer also suggests milestones — a flock passing 500 dozen eggs, new chicks, the first harvest or first maple syrup of the season.
You can block any farm (you won't see each other at all) and report any post or comment. Three reports hide it until ProvenFarm reviews it. Advice from other farmers isn't a vet's diagnosis — when an animal is really sick, call your vet.
