Take card payments at the stand and on orders

Card payments use Stripe. The money goes straight to your own bank account; ProvenFarm never holds it.

1. Go to Settings → Payments and tap Set up payments. Enter your business and bank details with Stripe (about 5 minutes). Card payments work on every plan, Free included.
2. At the POS, ring up the sale and choose Card. A QR code appears.
3. The customer scans it with their phone's camera and pays — or pays on your tablet.
4. When the payment goes through, the sale is marked Paid by card. On pickup orders, customers can pay when they order.

• Stripe's processing fee comes out of each payment. ProvenFarm adds 2% on Free and 1% on Stand (at most $25 a payment); Core and up pay no ProvenFarm fee. Farms that joined before the fee started don't pay it.
• If a customer cancels, the sale stays unpaid — ring it up again or mark it paid another way on Sales.
• Payouts reach your bank on Stripe's schedule, usually in 2 business days.

See an error about permissions? Your Stripe key is missing a permission. Ask whoever set up Stripe to allow Checkout Sessions (write), PaymentIntents (read) and Charges (read).
