Breeding, due dates and births

Breeding

1. Livestock → Breeding. Pick the female, the date, and the sire (on your farm, an outside sire or AI).
2. ProvenFarm works out the due date from the species' gestation. Mothers due soon show at the top of Livestock.

Births

1. Tap Record birth next to the mother (or Livestock → Birth).
2. Enter the date, how many were born alive and stillborn, and if it was an assisted birth.
3. Each newborn gets its own animal record with mother and father, ready for tags and weights.
4. Optionally move the young to a group or pasture.

Each animal's page shows its parents, offspring, breedings and births, so you can see which mothers do best.
